Vote For Ballyhaunis Railway Station To Win The Prize

The race has started to find the best railway station in County Mayo. Iarnrod Eireann's competition is now open for the public to place their votes for their favourite station whether it is Ballyhaunis, Castlebar, Ballina, Manulla Junction or Westport.  Visit the website www.irishrail.ie/beststations and rate the stations on the different categories which are Station presentation, staff helpfulness and appearance and customer information.  You can either vote online or you can text "Vote" and the station of your choice to 53700. All texts are charged at 30cent and you will receive a text in return. The closing date for all votes is 31st January and the winners will be announced later this year.

There are different award categories for the Railway Station awards, they are:

Best intercity station Leinster,

Best intercity Station Munster,

Best Intercity Station Connaught,

Best DART/commuter Station,

Community Award

Overall Best Station.
